My name is Mason. I am 1 1/2 years old and fully grown at 24” long, 12” tall (top of my shoulders) and 27 lbs. I might be small, but I have a stout body. Yesterday at dog park, I was having fun playing chase with all the big dogs, playing tug of war with a boxer and having a blast meeting new people and dog buddies. All of the people wanted to pet me and they told my foster parents how cute I am. When I am at home at my foster parent’s house, I like to play with a pink stuffed pig toy. When I shake this pig toy really hard it makes an “oink” noise. Last night, I was snooping in the toy basket and I discovered a monkey- I decided to shake him, and he made a monkey noise!!! I barked at him!!! Then I shook him again to hear that funny monkey noise again. Now, pig and monkey noises are heard randomly throughout the house- this really makes my foster parents laugh. Don’t get me wrong, I like to play, but I am also a basset hound and I like to take a lot of naps. Some of my favorite places to nap are in the back yard in the sun, in the dog house, under the coffee table and on the bathroom rug. I am very smart and I know these people words- sit, come, potty, go outside, and bye-bye. I take treats gently and I am not a people food beggar. I am very friendly with big people. I like to lie on my foster parents lap and let them pet my belly. Sometimes my foster dad tickles me on the inside of my leg, and I shake my leg really fast like I am itching the air. I am currently taking interviews for a new forever home-so get your application info sent in quickly. I am such a great boy I won’t last long!!
