UPDATE!! Buddy is now 5 weeks out of HWtreatment and coming out of his shell. He and Polly play chase & roll!! He is very sweet and now barks when he gets excited. We have taken to calling him "Budder Buds", because he melts in your arms like butter on mashed potatoes. He loves attention, but doesn't demand it. He will sit and look at you until you give in. He is not much for getting on the furniture but likes to sleep on the couch when noone is around. But don't wake him unless you call his name first. He doesn't like being startled. He would be a wonderful pet to any family who is looking for a loving, appreciative pooch!!
Buddy was no longer wanted by his owner, so he was taken to a shelter in North Texas. The staff veterinarian tested him for heartworms, and he was positive, so no one was allowed to adopt him. He had a rough past life, as he is skinny and has several old scars that appear to be from a wire fence or crate. He is mostly housetrained with a doggy door, and his only accidents occur when he doesn't have access to it. He's a happy young male who is playful and gets along well with other dogs. He loves people, too both large and small. His heartworm treatment is now complete and he is ready to find his forever home. Can you give him a forever home?
