Lucy is a GREAT dog that needs a great family and other dogs to play with. She's awesome. She's young, she's friendly, she's goofy. She's obedient, but stubborn, so she'll stay outside the room if you tell her to, but she's going to make it VERY clear that she's way too spoiled to be told no. She plays fetch, and she loves to go for walks and run through the house, chasing her toy. She will hang out at your feet, on a chair or on the couch with her big basset ears hanging half way to the ground. She's not a picky eater, and she's fully housetrained. She only jumps when we first return home after being gone for a while. She's petite (about 35 lbs, and full grown), which is awesome, and she's beautiful and soft.  She's smart, pretty, funny, silly, active, obedient, and as stubborn as any basset we've had. She's the total package. But she NEEDS a buddy, and she deserves a family who's home most of the day. I'd say that her perfect home is going to be with a young couple, or a family like ours with kids who can range in age from toddler to teenager. She bonded very quickly with our kids. Her perfect family will need to be active enough to play with her, and another dog is a MUST. She desperately misses her buddies from her previous home, and it would help relieve the stress she's feeling when she has to be left at home without her people. She's our 12th foster basset in the past two years, and the first one we seriously considered adopting. But we're not her perfect home because we don't have a buddy for her. Are you her perfect home? If so, lucky you!
