Clyde is a beautiful sweet open-red-and-white Basset with an excellent disposition. This boy has had a rough life. His owners couldn't care for him so he was dumped at a West Texas shelter and was slated for euthanasia. He's been in a shelter twice. Due to this, he has severe separation anxiety. Who wouldn't? He is so ready for a FOREVER home where he will never be thrown away again! Who couldn't love this adorable hound and give him the 'good life' he so deserves?

Clyde would do well in a home with a stay-at-home parent due to his anxiety. He prefers having another dog to pal around with; but, he could also do well as an only dog. Adapting to any kind of environment is his strength - except for an apartment; this big boy needs a backyard to run and roam. He shows no sign of food aggression; loves both humans, including children, and dog company; and appears to be housetrained — except when left alone — again due to his separation anxiety. This is easily avoided by baby-gating him into a tiled area while gone. His manners are very good and has caught on fast to the house rules. He walks well on a leash and enjoys other people. He is a wonderful houseguest and will make some lucky family a great pet. Clyde needs a home where he will be loved and cherished; not thrown away again. Are you the one for him?
