Gus is a great dog in so many ways! He is VERY affectionate, and easy to be with. He has no issues with anything or anyone! He is a mature, handsome boy whose owners surrendered him to a shelter for unkown reasons.
Gus eats well, sleeps on a dog bed at night right by your bed, loves to be close to you throughout the day. He allows you to clean his ears, clip his nails, and groom him with ease. He is the epitome of "velcro basset", and is happy to go with you in the car, or just from room to room. He loves men, women, children, grandmas and grandpas, cousins, neices and nephews! He gets along very well with other dogs, he is quite submissive in the home.
He loves to nudge you for attention, will sit up and put his front legs on your legs, so cute! He also lays with his back legs spread out to the sides...very cute!
He has a wonderful howl, will tip his head toward the Texas sky and howl with a mellow bellow if he needs you for He is very obedient, housetrained, and quite the "perfect gentleman"!
Gus has tested negative for heartworms, and is ready to be your best friend for life!
