Oh, what a beatiful sweet boy and how can you resist that face! Cletus is so excited to be out of the shelter, but he is having a hard time calming down. Cletus is a very young basset that will require a lot of training, and a stay at home mom or dad. Due to his high activity level, we do not recommend Cletus for a family with young children.
Foster Update: Cletus is a young, energetic boy who loves to play and receive attention! This handsome fellow is highly-active due to his young age. He is super sweet and is already house-trained with a doggy-door. Cletus is crate-trained and gets along well with other dogs. In his current foster home, he lives with children and does great with them—he doesn’t seem to mind if the kids “mess” with him. Young children are not recommended though as this youthful Basset may knock over a toddler with his energy! Cletus also needs a little bit of training because he loves to chew and barks when he is excited. But with regular exercise, lots of attention and perhaps another dog for young Cletus to play with, this sweet Basset would make a great family pet and is waiting for a home!
