Duke is a very sweet adult basset who was surrendered to a shelter by his owner. He is a gentle "lump of love" who is very calm and loving. Duke is totally deaf and needs a family who is patient and willing to work with him. He is an extremely gentle boy and deals well with his handicap. Duke has beautiful blue eyes....not too common in Bassets however there is nothing wrong with his vision. Duke is house-trained, has no destructive behaviors and gets along with other dogs. He enjoys going for light walks and loves to nap. Duke is mildly heartworm positive but is being treated for that. He is a friendly, sweet, gentle boy looking for a family who can spoil him. More about Duke 2Good with Dogs Special Needs: Duke is totally deaf, but does respond to the vibrations of tapping on the floor. He will be a wonderful pet for a family with a lot of patience and understanding.
