Daryl is a very sweet boy basset. Very gentle, and even gets along with the cats in his foster home. Daryl wants everyone to know that during these summer months, it's very important to keep your dog on heartworm preventative! Heartworms are contracted through mosquito bites, and the worms go directly to the heart through the bloodstream. And in Texas this means YEAR ROUND! The treatment is very painful and expensive. Just a few dollars a month on preventative would have kept Daryl from becoming sick and putting his life at risk. Heartworms kill! Daryl was saved, is now healthy and ready for a lifetime of love.
