Princess Megan is a very gentle soul, considering the fact that she spent her whole life confined to a crate to produce puppies. Once she was no longer of use to the Heddins, she was placed in an outdoor crate to die on the back of the property, before the Humane Society seized her.
Though afraid of her new surroundings in her foster home, she will soon adapt to the luxury of being petted, loved, well fed, groomed, and cared for.
She will be available in September after her heartworm treatment is completed.

Update 8/14/09- Megan is doing great and has decided that being a family dog is just her thing.  She loves the 7 and 10 year old kids that live in her foster home and also likes hanging out with the 2 resident bassets.  Her favorite antic is to grab a dish towel and shake it!  She has been spayed and had 6 teeth removed.  After a couple of days of being sore, she is recovering nicely.  She is up to 35 pounds and still enjoys her kibble...although currently being softened due to her dental surgery.  Megan is starting to get the hang of the housebreaking and will start her heartworm treatment in a few weeks!  Check back soon for more udpates!
