"When Jack was sitting at the vet waiting for his x-ray, he reached up and licked very deliberately licked my chin, as if to say, "Thank you for your help".....These are the words from the rescuer who transported him to safety from the small community shelter where he had been held for 3 days after being hit by a truck. Jack is a beautiful red and white basset boy, who appears to be housetrained, and is very gentle and loving. He loves children, has a lot of heart, and really wants to get well.
