Woodruff is the perfect Basset Hound. He's beautiful, loving, gentle, friendly, and housetrained! This poor creature was found as a stray with his Basset companion, probably dumped. He needs and loves other dogs, but would love to spend his time with you being petted and loved. Woody has huge feet and very long ears that he steps on frequently. At our next Shuffle event, I'm positive he'd win the Biggest Feet and Longest Ears contest "paws" down. "Wood-n't" you love to cuddle up with this boy this winter? He would! Foster Update: Our initial impression of Woodruff was correct. He IS the perfect Basset. He doesn’t have any bad manners- no chewing, no counter surfing, and no potty accidents. He does, however, love being on the couch and better yet — he believes he’s a lap dog when you’re on the couch with him! He’s laid-back and extremely loving. He’d fit in well with any environment; I’m guessing though he might prefer a more quiet lifestyle. He can be trusted to roam free in the home while you’re gone. He’d be good with children of any age. I have a seven-year-old and Woody is very gentle with him and loves the belly rubs my son gives. If you want the classic laid-back, well-mannered, loving Basset, you must meet Woody!
