Copper was a stray who ended up in the Fort Worth shelter. He is heartworm positive and will be treated on the long protocol of heartworm preventative and steroids over the coming months. NTBHR will provide one year's worth of heartworm protocol treatments or will pay for short protocol treatment if the vaccine becomes available during the one year period.
