Cooper is a very cute and energetic “golden eyed” puppy! He is tri-colored male and is approximately 6 months old. He was purchased at a Tractor Supply location in Bonham, TX from a family that was not ready to dedicate time to a puppy and they decided to give him away. One of our foster volunteers came across this information by pure luck and did not want to see this handsome hound end up in a shelter for no reason so they volunteered to take him of their hands and provide a good temporary home until his “furever” home could be located. Cooper is currently residing with 2 other adult male bassets and 2 cats, and he keeps them on their toes! He loves to chase them around the yard and give them some much needed exercise! He gets along well with the cats too. Cooper is very excited to go on walks. He tends to pull on the leash so he will need some work with this along with jumping and just learning where his boundaries are. He is still a puppy though, and for his age he is doing great. He sleeps well in the crate and uses a doggy door. He has had a few accidents in the house, but he knows to let himself in and out for the bathroom so he should be 100% housebroken in no time, provided he has a doggy door. He enjoys bones and treats and loves to eat so be careful where you leave your food or it will be gone in a blink of an eye!
Cooper needs to find a family with a nice yard that will be loving, patient, and willing to train. Other dogs and children would be a plus for him since he loves to play!
