Gordie (fka Gorda) is a sweetheart of a basset hound. Gordie's former owner is seriously ill and no longer able to care for Gordie. A local shelter was able to care for her until NTBHR could get Gordie into a foster home.

Gordie has a beautiful tri-color coat, white legs, and a slender white line down her blaze. Gordie has a deep basset hound bay that will give next year's Shuffle contenders a run for the money as the winning howler! Fortunately, she seems to know when to use - and when not to use - her vocality.

Gordie appears to be housetrained as she has not had any accidents in her foster home thus far. She adapted to the doggie door upon introduction.

This sweet basset hound loves to be held and cuddled. Give a pat on your lap and she's there in a flash! Gordie would probably do best in a home where her people are around often, or at least have another dog as a companion (why not adopt two NTBHR basset hounds at once?!). Take one look into Gordie's soulful eyes and be ready to lose your heart!
